para manejar el dbcontrol q tiene el focus se suele hacer algo asi:

(ActiveControl as TDBEdit).Datasoure.Dataset....
(ActiveControl as TDBEdit).DataField....
pero esto se debe hacer para cada dbcontrol, el DBGrid, el DBcombobox etc. me pregunto si no hay alguna manera de hacerlo para todos los dbcontrols de una sola vez , algo asi como:
