Quick Report Sin Mantenimento.

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately our sole developer for QuickReport passed away recently, he was the only person with an in-depth knowledge of the software. Because of this, we are no longer able to support the product.

We are still currently deciding on the future of quickreport, with the possibility of either selling to embarcadero or going open-source.

A post will be made to the main page of quickreport.co.uk when a decision has been made.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.

Kind Regards,

We must sadly announce the recent passing of Lut Mentz.

Skye Quin, a founder of QBS and colleague of Lut said “Lut had worked for QBS for many years as chief technical person on Quickreport. Lut handled all the technical support and worked for many years with QR users to eradicate bugs and develop new features. He originally worked with QBS on a Clipper postscript library called Scripton which he developed from scratch in the early 1990s. He went on to develop Summer ’93 a tool for migrating Clipper code. More recently he developed Delux a tool for translating code between languages. Lut’s contribution was enormous. He helped keep Quickreport alive and profitable for many years.”

Dave Stevinson, Managing Director of QBS Technology Group said “Lut made an important contribution to QBS Publishing over the years. He was a passionate and skilled developer who was enormously popular with his colleagues. All of us at QBS Group will miss him immensely and our thoughts are with his family at this most challenging time.”
